Not that I'm aware of. So far they seem to be stirring up anti-government sentiment to sway Imports to their cause. They approached the network recently with information regarding an Import watchlist they obtained by hacking the government's systems. Hence my coming to you.

So you're contacting everyone on the watchlist? Can't say as I'm surprised really.

But if you're referring to the reason I was imprisoned for the last month, I'll admit some anti-government sentiments myself, as they seem entirely unwilling to cooperate with imPort scientists on any level.

But I wouldn't go so far as to call myself pro-imPort. There are too many of us that are dangerous and unpredictable for that sort of stance to hold ground.

I think very few of us are unabashedly trusting of the government, but a potential group of Imports laying the groundwork for a conflict isn't in the best interests of the government or Imports as a whole.

I'm not accusing you of any connection to the Constellation. But I am interesting in talking with people who have successfully hacked the government. I imagine you can't talk about what information you gathered, but I would like to know about your methods and incidental details, if you're free to speak about them.

Well I can certainly agree with that.

I'm actually happy to talk about the information I gathered, as I fully intend to share my conclusions with the network at large once I've been able to go over all of it. But it's likely nothing of particular interest in itself to most. I just happen to be a mathematician.

It's a file containing dates of port-ins and port-outs of every imPort that's ever arrived or left this world. With it, I intend to answer a good number of questions concerning imPort longevity in this world as well as determine the chances of any one of us disappearing on a given day. Ultimately, it should give us some valuable insight on the Porter's internal algorithm.

What method did you use to hack the government systems and acquire the information? And does any of it show any evidence of tampering, or that any other hacker had been infiltrating the same systems?

I remotely accessed their records database after an entire night dedicated to subverting encryption algorithms. I excel in pattern recognition with numbers.

I can't say as there was evidence anyone had accessed them before. There weren't any back doors that I found at least.

But while I was being sentenced, I recall being interrogated about some sort of unauthorized satellite access. By the sounds of it, I'd guess I wasn't the only one to take advantage of the chaos brought about by the Dream. I don't have any idea of who was behind it or what they were after however. Has there been any news of any other imPort arrest in recent weeks?

One more question about your data: does it contain any additional information about Imports other than just port-in and -out dates?

Unauthorized satellite access? That'll be worth looking into further. And Joseph Kavinsky was arrested for perpetrating the dream. Do you know anything about him?

No, I was only interested in gathering port-in and port-out records.

Everything I know about Mr. Kavinsky is I believe he's some sort of drug addict? And rather unpleasant.

I can't say that I do. My acquaintances are few and I'm not overfond of politics to ask after inclinations. It does concern me however that such extreme points of view- pro-imPort espoused by Constellation, and the tangible anti-imPort sentiment I experienced in prison- may at some point become as polarized as the American government.
